The Dengue NS1 Rapid Test Cassette (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of Dengue virus NS1 antigen in whole blood, serum or plasma to aid in the diagnosis of dengue infection.
Dengue virus (DENV) is a mosquito-borne flavivirus with four distinct serotypes (DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3, and DENV-4). NS1 is a non-structural protein 1 that is secreted by infected cells and can be detected in the blood during the early acute phase of infection, typically from day 1 to day 9 after the onset of fever. NS1 antigen detection is therefore useful for the early diagnosis of dengue infection.
The Dengue NS1 Rapid Test Cassette (Whole Blood/Serum/Plasma) utilizes a double antibody combination of an anti-Dengue NS1 antibody coated particle and anti-Dengue NS1 antibody immobilized on membrane to detect Dengue NS1 antigen qualitatively and selectively in whole blood, serum or plasma.
