PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Vibrio Cholera O1/O139 Rapid Test Cassette (Feces) is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of Vibrio Cholerae O1 and O139 in human feces specimens to aid in the diagnosis of cholera infection. Vibrio cholerae is the causative agent of cholera, an acute diarrheal disease that can lead to severe dehydration and death if untreated. Vibrio cholerae is extremely difficult to culture, it is unusual to use isolation of the bacterium in diagnosing an infection. Instead, a variety of techniques have been developed to detect Vibrio cholerae in feces.
